Full Professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Arts (FAA) of the Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa (ULL);
Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of Salford (UK);
Coordinator of the Center for Research in Territory, Architecture and Design (CITAD) since 2005;
Director of the FAA of the ULL from 2009 to 2012;
Lecturer in the Architecture course at the Superior School of Fine Arts in Lisbon 1973-1976;
He was a business administrator and began private activity in 1964 at the construction company ICESA, where he held management positions (director of studies and projects, construction manager, and director of production) and administration (1969/1989) and specialized in the area of heavy pre-fabrication at Société Fiorio in Limoux, France, from 1964 to 1967;
Consultant in the prefabrication area of Eng. Emile Camus, Director of Société Raymond Camus et c / ie in Paris in 1970, and Eng. Joaquim Wöge of the Boston Consulting Group in 1994;
Elected National Effective by the National Academy of Fine Arts in
2019
;
Elected President of Nacional Council of Southern Delegates of the Order of Architects during the 1999-2001 triennium;
Named by the National Council of the Order of Architects in 2001 to be a member of the Accreditation Committee of the Architecture School (CA) of the Porto Superior School of Art (ESAP), and in 2002, as President of the CA Accreditation Commission of the University of Minho;
Elected by the Order of the Architects, President of the General Assembly Board of the College of Management Specialty, Direction and Supervision of Works from 2014 to 2017.
