The Research Centre in Territory, Architecture, and Design CITAD intends to contribute with its scientific activity to the improvement of the built environment and to a more sustainable and identitary society, within its scientific scope.

CITAD is constituted by four Research Groups (RG): RG 1 – Architecture and Urbanism; RG 2 - Technologies of Architecture; RG 3 - Theory, History and Heritage; RG 4 - Innovation, Design, and (Im)Material Culture.

Each Research Group contains Research Lines (RL), according to specific themes. The ongoing Research Projects are integrated in this framework, addressing specific research topics, which may be clearly set and enclosed in a precise domain within its Research Line or relate to different research areas, establishing interconnections and cross relations.
