The strategy consists of investigating primary sources, from the buildings themselves, after documentary sources. The rigorous historical and architectural survey will be decisive in finding the theories of Portuguese Architecture and the History of Portuguese Architecture.
From the concept of heritage, we will try to include in the world of art and practice other knowledge, necessarily linked to the foundation of art and man history, philosophy and anthropology.

The purpose of this Research Group is to contribute to the knowledge of theoretical thinking in the interdisciplinary fields of architecture; the Theory of Architecture, the History of Art and the History of Architecture. Brief description: The research line Heritage Intervention focuses on the study of (interdisciplinary) principles and methods of architectural intervention in built heritage, from the history of construction to the processes of restoration, conservation and rehabilitation.
